Senior Accountant (M/F/D) at Luxembourg

About the role:

We are looking for an Experienced Accountant (General Ledger) to manage day-to-day general ledger activities for an international commercial and agri-food company.You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations, supporting reporting processes, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

This position offers exposure to a dynamic international environment and involvement in projects such as system implementations and business expansion initiatives.

In this role, you will:

• Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, bookkeeping, and month-end closing activities
• Support the preparation of annual accounts, management reports, and similar reporting deliverables
• Be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting
• Prepare monthly account reconciliations
• Produce weekly account statements
• Prepare VAT returns
• Prepare quarterly reconciliations with importers (customers)
• Support various projects
• Act as backup for teammates during absences and annual leave

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting within a dynamic, international environment
• Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
• Experience in reporting and audit
• Good command of Excel and Word
• IFRS knowledge is a plus
• VAT knowledge is a plus
• Knowledge of Oracle / SAP and US GAAP is an advantage
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
• Additional languages are a plus
• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Audit
